dc.description.abstractThis study was planned and performed as a field research based on the literature review, recording of visual and living sources, documents and ways of life (video, photograph). Voluntary participation was based on. In order to get healthy data, it was clearly explained that the study was being performed only with scientific purposes. Historical Secek Wrestling Contests and Cultural Activities (2010), being examined in this study, is being stuied as a sportive and cultural feast that should be involved among the basic "(c) Social Implementations, Rituals and Feasts" which take place in the second subparagraph of the second item that the determined relevant heritage sites are systematized in accordance with these purposes, considering the responsibility of the principle "respect to the not concrete cultural heritage of the relevant communities, groups and individuals" gave to mankind, defined at (b) subparagraph of the 1st item of "Not Concrete Cultural Heritage Convention" at 32nd General Conference of Unesco dated 17th October, 2003. We should state clearly that the historical final ground of all organizations of Historical Turkish Oil Wrestling Contests, beginning from the Anatolia and continuing at Rumelia for centuries, is Historical Ki{dotless}rkpi{dotless}nar Oil Wrestling Contests. Traditional Secek Oil Wrestling Contests and Cultural Activities, as one of the closest sub-organizations of oil wrestling contests at Rumelia (Lalapaşa-Büyük Mandi{dotless}ra-Alantepe), started at Ottoman Period and were performed by the Turks-but today, inside the border of the Republic of Greece- give detaied information about their ways of living.en_US
