Özet
OBJECTIVES: To present a case with recurrent spontaneous abortion treated with intravenous immunglobulin (IVIG) and a possible etiologic factor as myoma uteri. CASE: A 39-year-old, gravida 5, para 0 pregnant woman was admitted to Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Government Hospital of Ahlat with a history of 4 spontaneous miscarriages. Most seemingly etiology was a big myoma. IVIG treatment was successful without surgical operation. CONCLUSION: Choices in the management of recurrent abortion varies according to its etiology. Sometimes the seemingly, most possible etiology might not be the real reason, immunologic factors are always there, waiting to be taken into account. Sometimes IVIG may be considered as one of treatment options in recurrent abortion, before surgical intervention.
