Religious and social tolerance was the most important element in protecting the integrity of the empire. These two events were really important in this period. These are continuous spread of the Russian Empire and the withdrawal of permanent of Ottoman Empire. In the same time, when starting to spread to empire, the Russians gave great support to the Bulgarians to perform this expansion. They supported Bulgarian for their own purposes. In this process, Greek model of uprising also used by the Bulgarians and in fact this model guided the Bulgarians. The Ottoman army however suppressed riots that took place. But every time, mainly Russia and great powers were there and they gave supports to the mentioned states. As a result of tirelessly and cruel actions by Bulgarians paved the way to their independence. The riots, which occurred after independence went on until the recent days.
