The movement aimed to establish a connection between art and life by emphasizing functionality and industrial production. The role of Bauhaus in contemporary fine arts education in Turkey is particularly evident in the fields of modern architecture and design. Over time, Bauhaus philosophy and principles have influenced fine arts education and practice in Turkey. The emphasis on functionality, aesthetics, and industrial production principles emphasized by Bauhaus has played a significant role in architectural and design education as well as fundamental art courses in Turkey. The Bauhaus influence in Turkey is especially noticeable in the architecture and design education of the Republican era. With the efforts of modernization during the Republican era in Turkey, innovative approaches were adopted in the fields of architecture and design. Turkish architectural education during this period was influenced by Bauhaus' understanding of functionality and aesthetics. Bauhaus' minimalist, geometric, and functional approach has contributed to the development of modern architecture in Turkey. The impact of Bauhaus on fine arts education should not be overlooked either. Today, the influence of Bauhaus in Turkey can still be felt in architectural and design education and practice. Bauhaus principles and design principles are taught in many fine arts faculties and architecture departments in universities. The focus on functionality, aesthetics, and industrial production in Bauhaus' approach has also become increasingly prevalent in architectural and design projects in Turkey.
