Orthorexia nervoza is a pathological obsession for healthy nutrition. The most prominent features of orthorexia nervoza are obsessive focus and time consuming during the procurement, consumption and preparation of nutrients, social isolation and reduced quality of life. They have strict rules about healthy eating, and even if one of these rules is neglected, they are obsessed with developing a sense of guilt and inadequacy. In our study, it was aimed to reach individuals aged 20-64 who were registered to 23 family health centers in Edirne city center. 520 people were reached by stratification by age and sex, taking equal numbers from each age group and gender. The data were collected by a researcher with the help of questionnaires. The questionnaire consisted of a total of 40 questions including sociodemographic questions and ORTO-11 scale. In 48.8% of the individuals aged between 20-64 who were registered in the family health center in Edirne province, the tendency for orthorexia nervosa was found to be high. It was found that the increase in orthorexic tendencies was parallel with the increase in age groups. When BMI and waist circumference measurements increased, ON tendencies increased. People who have children were found having high ON tendencies than childless people. It was determined that those who exercise regularly have a higher tendency to ON than those who do not. It was observed that there was a statistically significant relationship between the orthorexia nervosa tendency and paying attention to the product content in the market shopping and food content during the grocery shopping, making the grocery shopping by herself and paying attention to the expiration dates of grocery during shopping, making yogurt at home This study conducted on orthorexia nervosa, which has not been established for diagnostic criteria and which is not evaluated in any classification, but is frequently seen with increasing frequency every day, can be an obsessive feeding behavior in some individuals with emphasis on healthy nutrition frequently encountered in media and various social platforms. İt is thought that this study may be a guide for the studies to be done.
