| dc.description.abstract | Ill ÖZET Antik çağın önemli kentlerinden biri olan İznik antik adıyla Nikaia, İznik (Askanios) Gölünün doğu ucunda ilkçağın erken dönemlerinde kurulmuş olan bir kenttir. Hellenistik dönemde başlayan tarihi Türk dönemine kadar uzanmaktadır. Zengin bir tarihe sahip olan kentte, bu tarihi zenginliğin kalıntılarını görmek mümkündür. Özellikle de kenti çevreleyen surlar ve kente girişi sağlayan kapılar, İznik'in antik döneminden kalan ve antik dönemi hakkında değerli bilgiler veren en önemli yapılardır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | IV SUMMARY İznik,one of the important cities of the antique era and with its antik name Nikaia, was a city founded near the east end of the İznik lake in the early period of the antiquity. Its history which began in the Hellenistic era stretched out until the Turkish. İznik has a rich history and on the historical constructions in İznik it is possible to see the affects of this richness. Especially the city walls that encircle the city and the gates which provide the entance to the city are the most important constructions which provide valuable information about the antique era. | en_US |
