Özet
II. Meşrutiyet’in ilanından yaklaşık üç ay sonra (27 Ekim 1908) yayımlanmaya başlayan ve bu dönemin önemli gazetelerinden biri olan Davul’un yayım hayatı yalnızca bir sene sürmüş; bu süreçte gazete 24 sayıya ulaşmış, 27 Mayıs 1909’da yayım hayatına son vermiştir. Bizim incelememiz bu sayıların tamamını ihtiva etmektedir. Davul, bir edebiyat ve mizah gazetesi olmakla birlikte içerik ve görsel malzeme açısından oldukça zengin bir gazetedir. Çalışmamız “Ön Söz”, “Giriş”, “Sonuç” ve “Kaynaklar” dışında iki ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. “Giriş”te Osmanlı-II. Meşrutiyet dönemleri arasındaki Türk basın faaliyetleri ile birlikte bu dönemlerde yayımlanan mizah gazeteleri ve gazete, mizah, hiciv kavramları hakkında genel bir bilgi vermeye çalıştık. Birinci Bölüm’de gazeteyi biçim ve içerik bakımından inceleyerek, gazete üzerinde çalışma yapmak isteyecek olanlara da kolaylık sağlayabileceğini düşündüğümüz bir dizine yer verdik. Biçim bakımından yaptığımız incelemede gazetenin biçim özellikleri, amacı ve yazar kadrosu hakkında bilgi verdik. İçerik incelemesinde edebî metinleri türlerine göre sınıflandırıp incelemeye çalışarak akabinde edebiyat dışı metinlere yer verdik. Bu bölümde yer alan “Dizin” kısmında “Kronolojik” ve“Alfabetik (Yazar Adına Göre)” olmak üzere bir sınıflandırma yaptık. İkinci Bölüm’de ise gazetenin bütün sayılarında yer alan metinlerin çeviriyazılarını sunduk.
The publishing life of magazine Davul, which was first published aproximately three months after the declaratio of Second constitutionalism (27 Ekim 1908) had been led only one year. As being one of the majör magazines of this period The Davul had reached 24 volumes during this process. Its publishing life ended in 27 May 1909. Our research consists all of the volumes of the magazine. The magazine Davul is pretty rich in the content and also in the visual materials. Beside being a literary newspaper, The Davul is very rich with the visual materials in the content. Our study consists of two main sections apart from “The Foreword”, “Introduction”, ‘The Epilogue’ and “Bibliography” parts. In introduction part, we tried to give a general knowledge about the Press activities of Ottoman II. Constitutionalism period, and the concepts of newspapers, Humor, and Satire. In the first section we tried to examine both format and content of the magazine, and we gave place to an index which is going to help those who would like to research on the magazine. In the research on the format of the magazine, we provide information about the format characteristics, aim, author staff and the publisher of the magazine. In addition, we added some details containing advertisements, announcements, and promotional articles. However, in the magazine’s content review, we attempted to analyze the articles on literatüre by classifying them according to their genre. In Index part of this section, we made a classification Chronologically, by Author Name (alphabetically) and Thematically. In section II, we presented translations of all the articles of all volumes.
