dc.description.abstractThe rate acceleration of Diels-Alder reactions in 5.0 M lithium perchlorate-diethyl ether was re-examined using itaconic anhydride and itaconic acid. Rate acceleration was observed for non-functionalised dienes, but functionalised dienes gave the starting or polymeric materials.en_US
