Özet
Dünyada özellikle 1980 sonrası dönemde bilgi iletişim teknolojilerinde yaşanangelişmelerle birlikte ülkeler arasındaki sınırlar ortadan kalkmış veküreselleşme yoğun bir şekilde yaşanmaya başlamıştır. Küreselleşmede yaşanan buyoğunluk bazı sektörlere önemli avantajlar sağlarken bazıları içindezavantajlar getirmiştir. Bu çalışmada Türkiye’de ekonomik, politik ve sosyalalanda yaşanan küreselleşmenin savunma sanayi harcamaları üzerinde yaratmışolduğu etki 1974-2015 dönemine ait veriler kullanılarak VAR modeli çerçevesindeanaliz edilmiştir. Eşbütünleşme sonuçları değişkenler arasında uzun dönemliilişkiyi işaret ederken, nedensellik test sonuçları politik ve ekonomikküreselleşmenin savunma harcamalarının nedeni olduğunu göstermektedir.
Especially in the post-1980 period, with the developments ininformation and communication technologies in the world, the boundaries betweenthe countries have disappeared and globalization has started to be experiencedintensively. This intensity in globalization provides significant advantages tosome sectors and has disadvantages for some. In thisstudy, the effects of globalization in economic, political and social fields ondefense industry expenditures in Turkey were analyzed within the frame of VARmodel by using data from the period of 1974-2015. The results of cointegrationindicate a long-term relationship between variables, while the results ofcausality test show that political and economic globalization is the cause ofdefense expenditures.
