Abstract
Bu tez, paranın dijitalleşme sürecini ilgi ve odak noktası kripto paralar ile ele almaktadır. Kripto paralar, geleneksel paralardan farklı merkezi bir yapıya sahip olmayan, blokzincir teknoloji ile desteklenmektedir. Tez kripto paraların ortaya çıkışı ile, teknolojik gelişmeler, finansal sistemdeki etkileri ve küresel anlamda avantaj ve dezavantajlarını incelemek, paranın dijitalleşme sürecinde etkisini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Tezde ilk olarak, paranın özellikleri ve tarihsel gelişimi üzerine bir inceleme yapılacaktır. Ardından paranın dijitalleşmesi, kripto paraların ortaya çıkışı ve Bitcoin’in piyasaya sürülmesi gibi bilgiler ele alınacaktır. Blokzincir teknolojisinin tarihsel gelişimi ile kripto paraların nasıl çalıştığına dair bilgiler ve kripto paralar ile ilgili açıklamalar yapılacaktır. Bitcoin’in ardından ortaya çıkan diğer kripto paralar ve bunların piyasada nasıl rol oynadığı incelenecektir. Kripto paraların getirdiği avantaj ve dezavantajlar karşılaştırılmalı inceleme olup ülkelerin Bitcoin ve diğer kripto paralara bakış açıları üzerinde bir inceleme yapılacaktır. Bu tez, paranın dijitalleşme sürecini incelemek ve geleceğin parası olarak öngörülen kripto paraların tarihsel işleyişini ve alt yapısının getirdiği teknolojik gelişmeler ile gelecekteki senaryoları değerlendirmek için temel bir kaynak olacaktır.
This thesis deals with the digitalization process of money with cryptocurrencies as the focus and interest. Cryptocurrencies are supported by blockchain technology, which does not have a centralized structure different from traditional currencies. The thesis aims to examine the emergence of cryptocurrencies, technological developments, their effects in the financial system and their advantages and disadvantages in the global sense, and to examine the effect of money in the digitalization process. In the thesis, firstly, an examination will be made on the properties and historical development of money. Then, information such as the digitalization of money, the emergence of cryptocurrencies and the launch of Bitcoin will be discussed. Information about the historical development of blockchain technology and how cryptocurrencies work and explanations about cryptocurrencies will be given. Other cryptocurrencies that emerged after Bitcoin and how they played a role in the market will be examined. The advantages and disadvantages of cryptocurrencies will be a comparative study and an examination will be made on the perspectives of countries on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. This thesis will be a fundamental resource to examine the digitalization process of money and to evaluate the historical functioning of cryptocurrencies, which is envisaged as the money of the future, and the technological developments brought about by its infrastructure and future scenarios.
