dc.description.abstractİnsanoğlunun yerleşik düzene geçişiyle birlikte bir grubun diğer grup üzerinde hegemonya kurma çabası baş göstermeye başlamıştır. Tarihsel süreç içerisinde tek bir toplum yoktur ki köleler ile yolu kesişmemiş olsun. Bu tezde, köleliğin vazgeçilmez bir kurum olduğu Antik Çağ sanatında önemli bir yere sahip olan vazo resimleri üzerindeki ev köleleri incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Karanlık Çağ'dan itibaren Klasik Dönemin sonuna kadar Yunan toplumunda köleliğin gelişim süreçleri Antik Çağ yazarlarının bakış açıları ile değerlendirilmiş ve Modern Çağ akademisyenlerinin yorumları ile harmanlanarak vazo resimleri üzerindeki ev kölesi temsilleri anlaşılmaya ve anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. Yunan vazo ressamları mitolojik sahnelerden günlük hayat sahnelerine kadar çok geniş bir yelpazede köleleri resmetmişlerdir. Özgür bireyler ile kölelerin temsillerinin birbirine yakın özellikler taşıyor olmasından dolayı köleleri vazo resimleri üzerinde tespit etmek her zaman kolay olmamaktadır. Bu nedenle araştırma aşamasında pişmiş toprak figürinler ve mezar stelleri göz ardı edilmeden ev kölesi betimleri tespit edilmeye ve yorumlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışma ile amaçlanan ev kölelerini özgür bireylerden ayırmak, ressamların köleleri betimlerken toplum normlarına ne kadar uyduklarını anlamak ve eserleri satın alacak olan özgür bireylere ne gibi mesajlar vermeye çalıştıklarını tespit etmektir. dc.description.abstractWith the transition of mankind to settled order, one group's efforts to establish hegemony over the other group began to emerge. In the historical process, there is no single society, so that it does not cross paths with slaves. In this thesis, house slaves on the vase paintings which have an important place in the art of Antiquity have been studied.From the Dark Age until the end of the Classical Period, the development of slavery in the Greek society was evaluated with the perspectives of the writers of Antiquity and blended with the interpretations of the Modern Age academics and the representations of the house slave on the vase paintings were tried to be understood and explained. Greek vase painters have depicted a wide range of slaves from mythological scenes to daily life scenes. It is not always easy to determine the slaves on the vase paintings because the representations of free individuals and slaves are similar to each other. Therefore, the house slave pictures were tried to be identified and interpreted without ignoring terracotta figurines and grave steles. The aim of this study is to distinguish the home slaves from the free individuals, to determine how the painters comply with the norms of society while describing the slaves and to detect what kind of messages they try to give to the free individuals who will buy the works.en_US
