Özet
Objective: Duodenal obstructions are among the most common gastrointestinal system anomalies in the neonatal period and repaired by various surgical techniques. In this study, the results of duodenoduodenostomy and duodenojejunostomy methods used in the repair of duodenal obstructions were compared using the predetermined parameters. Methods: The records of patients treated with duodenal obstruction between 2006-2019 in our clinic were retrospectively reviewed and 19 patients whose data could be accessed were included in the study. Patients who underwent duodenoduodenostomy (dd) and duodenojejunostomy (dj) were grouped separately. While duodenoduodenostomy was performed in 13, and duodenojejunostomy in 6 patients. Results: Dd and dj groups were compared statistically in terms of demographic characteristics, onset of feeding, length of hospital stay and postoperative complications. No statistically significant difference was found between the two groups in terms of the predetermined parameters. Conclusion: We think that this technique should be kept in mind as an alternative surgical method in the treatment of these patients. Because the results of these two techniques used in the repair of duodenal obstruction are not different and the results of duodenojejunostomy are acceptable in anatomically appropriate patients. © Logos Medical Publishing.
