Özet
Bu araştırmada, Almanya’da 2010 – 2017 yılları arasında yayınlanan 3-6 yaş resimli çocuk kitaplarının bireysel farklılıklar açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nitel araştırma metotlarından doküman inceleme modeli niteliğinde olan araştırmanın evrenini, Almanya’da 2010 - 2017 tarihleri arasında yayınlanan 3-6 yaş çocuklarına yönelik resimli çocuk kitapları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi ise, evrenden amaçlı örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 100 adet kitaptan oluşmaktadır. Örneklemde yer alan kitaplar, Almanya’da 2010 yılı ile 2017 tarihleri arasında yayınlanan 3-6 yaş arası döneme yönelik kitapların incelenmesi ile elde edilmiştir. Amaçlı örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen ve yeterli çeşitliliği temsil ettiği düşünülerek 100 adetle sınırlandırılan kitapların seçiminde şu kriterler göz önünde bulundurulmuştur: Kitapların 3-6 yaş dönemine yönelik olarak hazırlanmış ve basılı olması, yayınevinin kitap listelerinde de bu durumun belirtilmiş olması, kitapların resimli olmaları, yaş grubunun gelişimsel özellikleri ve dikkat süreleri göz önünde tutularak kısa olmaları ve her kitapta sadece tek bir hikayeye yer verilmesi. Araştırmada veri toplama yöntemi olarak, doküman incelemesi ve örneklemi/ analiz birimi olarak da doküman analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen verilerin frekans ve yüzde analizleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Kitaplardaki metinler bireysel farklılıklara yaptıkları vurgu açısından değerlendirildiğinde; bireysel farklılıklarla ilgili 418 ifade ve onu takiben inançla ilgili 285 ifade en sık rastlananlardır. Bu kategorileri cinsel rollerle ilgili 117, ülkelerin özellikleri ile ilgili 115, fiziksel özelliklerle ilgili 70, sosyoekonomik özelliklerle ilgili 27, gelenek göreneklerle ilgili 18, yiyecek içeceklerle ilgili 16, etnik özelliklerle ilgili 16 ifade takip etmektedir. Öte yandan en az kullanılan ifadelerin, giyim şekli ile ilgili 9 ve engellilikle ilgili 5 ifade olduğu görülmüştür. İncelenen kitaplardaki resimlerde ise sırasıyla 408 inanç, 287 sosyoekonomik statü, 215 giyim, 121 etnik, 166 ülkeler, 129 fiziksel, 103 meslek ya da davranış biçimi ile ilgili cinsiyet rolleri, 59 bireysel farklılıklar, 46 engellilik, 45 yiyecek içecekler ve en az da 32 gelenek göreneklerle ilgili özelliklerle ilgili resimlere rastlanmıştır. İncelenen tüm metinlerde inanç kategorisi en çok ve engellilik teması en az atıfta bulunulan ifadelerken; incelenen tüm görsellerde yine inançla ilgili görseller en çok ve metinlerden farklı olarak gelenek göreneklerle ilgili resimlerin ise en az şekilde vurgulananlar olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
In this research, it was aimed to examine the 3-6 age illustrated children books published between the years of 2010-2017 in Germany in terms of individual differences. The population of the research which has the document review model among the qualitative research models consists of the 3-6 age illustrated children books published between the years of 2010-2017 in Germany. Research sample consists of 100 books which were chosen through purposeful sampling method among the population. The books in the sample were obtained by reviewing the books published between the years of 2010-2017 in Germany towards 3-6 age children. The criteria considered in the selection of the books which were limited as 100 by thinking that they represent the designated and adequate diversity through the purposeful sampling method are as such: The books should be prepared towards 3-6 age group and be published; this condition should be mentioned in the book lists of the publishing house; the books should be illustrated; the books should be short by considering the developmental qualifications and attention spans of the relevant age group; and each book should involve one story. In the research, it was used the document review method as the data collection method, and it was used the document analysis as the unit of analysis. It was conducted frequency and percentage analyses of the data obtained from the research. When the texts in the books are examined in terms of the emphasis they lay on individual differences; it was seen that the most frequent expressions are those about individual differences with 418 and those about belief with 285. These categories were followed by the expressions about gender roles in relation to occupation or behavior with 117, characteristics of countries with 115, physical properties with 70, socioeconomic characteristics with 27, traditions with 18, food and beverages with 16, and ethnic characteristics with 16 expressions. On the other hand, it was seen that the less frequently used expressions are those about clothing style with 9 and disability with 5 expressions. As for the pictures in the books examined, it was seen, respectively, 408 pictures about belief, 287 pictures about socioeconomic status, 215 pictures about clothing, 121 pictures about ethnicity, 166 pictures about countries, 129 pictures about physical properties, 103 pictures about gender roles, 59 pictures about individual differences, 46 pictures about disability, 45 pictures about food and beverages, and 32 pictures about traditions as the least. While the belief category is the most frequently mentioned and the disability theme is the least frequently mentioned categories in all texts, it was concluded that the visuals about belief are the most frequently emphasized pictures and that the visuals about traditions are the least frequently emphasized pictures differently from the texts.
