Özet
Throughout human history, human beings have built various buildings for shelter or commercial and public purposes in the context of their beliefs. In these buildings, from time to time, they also created artistic elements in line with their culture using the available materials, and included these works in their living spaces. Many works were produced before and after glazing such as wall paintings, sculptures, bas- reliefs, carvings and inlays on wooden and stone building elements, pots and pans used in daily life made of pottery and ceramics, etc. For example, in Hittite Art, figurative colorings on drink jugs that can be worn on the arm, figurines expressing gods, and sculptures in different scales were created. The art of painting and sculpture, which started in the cave period, developed by spreading to all areas of art throughout the history of civilization and continues to progress, as well with technological developments, art products are brought to the history of humanity by artists. In order to understand the high- tech art products from the most primitive life to today’s conditions; we need to focus on human psychology, the structure of thought and art. For this reason, it is necessary to touch on the concepts of mentality and work of art in order to analyze perspectives on theories of thought, art and design. Because the place of thought structure gains importance in the Philosophy- Art- Architecture trilogy. For this reason, in the sub- titles of this study, which includes the examination of 20th century Turkish Sculpture Artist İlhan Koman’s gains to the art world; the structure of thought in art has been discussed within the scope of Turkish Sculpture Art, which the mentality in art imposes on the object and space, throughout the works produced by İlhan Koman in the art of sculpture. © 2023 Peter Lang GmbH, Internationaler Verlag der Wissenschaften.
