dc.description.abstractSilahlı kuvvetlerde sosyal hizmet; özel koşullarıbulunan yaşantıya sahip olan askerlerin ve ailelerinin sorunlarının giderilmesive iyilik hallerinin sağlanması amacıyla gerçekleştirilen sosyal hizmetuygulamalarını ifade etmektedir. Bu makalede, sosyal hizmetin önemli biruygulama alanı olan ancak ülkemizde bugüne kadar yeterli ilgiyi görmemiş olansilahlı kuvvetlerde sosyal hizmet uygulamalarının tarihi, gelişimi ve işlevleriele alınmaktadır. Buna ek olarak sosyal hizmet eğitimindeki yeri ile uygulamaalanına ilişkin etik tartışmalara ve ülkemizdeki mevcut duruma dair bilgiverilmektedir. Silahlı kuvvetlerde sosyal hizmetin ortaya çıktığı ve en çokgeliştiği Amerika Birleşik Devletleri'ndeki uygulamalar ve bilimsel çalışmalarincelenerek sağladığı faydalar ortaya konulmaktadır. Bu bağlamda söz konusuuygulamalara duyulan ihtiyaç vurgulanarak ülkemizde hayata geçirilmesiningerekliliği üzerine durulmuştur. Böylece hem uygulamada hem de akademik alandasilahlı kuvvetlerde sosyal hizmetin kurumsal yapısınınortaya çıkmasını sağlamak için bilimsel bir dayanak oluşturmak amaçlanmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractSocialwork in the military refers to social work practices aimed at solving theproblems of soldiers and their families with special circumstances and ensuringtheir well-being. This paper examines the history, development and the functionsof the military social work which is a significant practice area of the socialwork profession that had not drawn enough attention in our country until today.Additionally, information about military social work education, ethicaldiscussions on the field of practice and the current situation in our countryis given. Scientific studies and practice in United State of America where themilitary social work has emerged and developed the most are examined and thebenefits are presented. In this context, the necessity of the practice in thisarea and actualization in our country are emphasized. Therefore, it is aimed toprovide a scientific basis to reveal an institutional military social workstructure in both practice and academic spheres.en_US
