| dc.description.abstract | Phrygia’da İ.Ö. 10. yüzyıldan beri kanıtlanan Matar, önce Hellen Panteonu’nda Meter veya Kybele, sonra Roma Panteonu’nda Magna Mater olarak kendisine yer bulmuştur. Meter Kültü Thrakia’ya İ.Ö. 7. yüzyılda Hellen kolonizasyonu ile gelmiştir. Thrakia’da Ana Tanrıça Kültü üzerine yapılan araştırmalar daha çok Phrygialılar’ın Thrakia’dan göç etmiş oldukları düşüncesi üzerinden gitmektedir. Phrygialılar’ın Matar’ın ikonografisini Anadolu’nun diğer kültürlerinden etkilenerek oluşturmalarının, onların Thrakia kökeni ile ilgili olduğu düşünülmektedir. Thrakların tanrı ve tanrıçalarını nasıl gördüklerine dair bilgiler personifikasyonlarının bulunmayışı nedeni ile sınırlıdır. Fakat onların Phrygialılar gibi tek bir Büyük Tanrıça’ya taptıkları bilinmektedir. Ayrıca Ana Tanrıça kültü ile özdeşleştirilen dağ tanrıçaları Rheskynthis / Zerynthios ve Ganea’ya taptıkları bilinmektedir. Çalışmada, Thrakia’da Ana Tanrıça Kültü ile özdeşleştirilen Thrak Tanrıçaları Bendis, Kotytto, Perke, Aksiokersa, Hepta ve Phosphoros incelenmiş, ardından Thrakia’da bulunmuş Meter Kültü ile ilgili İ.Ö. 6. yüzyıl ile İ.S. 4. yüzyıla tarihlenen toplam 72 adet yayınlanmış eser sunulmuştur. | dc.description.abstract | It is proven that since the 10th Century B.C. Matar, initially was known with in the Greek pantheon as Meter or Kybele, later found herself a place within the Roman pantheon as Magna Mater. The cult of Meter came to the Thrace during the 7th. Century B.C. with the Greek colonisation of the region. Most studies of the Cult of Mother Goddess in Thrace are based on the idea that the Phrygians moved from the Thrace. It is assumed that creation of the Matar iconography by the Phrygians, with the influences of other Anatolian cultures, is linked to their roots in the Thrace. There is limited information as to how the Threcians saw their gods and goddesses as there is no personification of them. But it is known that they worshiped a single Great Goddess like the Phrygians. They also worshipped the mountain goddesses of Rheskynthis / Zerynthios and Ganea identified with the cult of the Goddess. This study first looks into Threcian Goddesses that have been identified with the Cult of Mother Goddess of Bendis, Kotytto, Perke, Aksiokersa, Hepta and Phosphoros, then presents 72 already published findings about the cult of Mater dated 6th century B.C. to 4th century A.D.
