Özet
Values begin to be acquired in the family, but then are shaped by school and social life, and continue to affect people’s decisions in both their business and private life throughout their lives. Work values, on the other hand, are the practice of human values in working life, and actually consist of a kind of desired beliefs and behaviours. The study focused on the finance school graduates who came together to have a profession by leaving from different families and cultures, and started their working lives after three years of boarding high school education. The purpose of the study is to reveal whether the values of the finance school graduates which are shaped in both the family and the school make a difference depending on demographic characteristics and also which ones are prioritized in their working lives. According to the results of the study, the Rationalism and Professionalism values of the graduates mostly come to the forefront. Depending on demographic characteristics, it was observed that there were differences in the Professionalism values in terms of gender, age groups and educational level; in the Rationalism values in terms of gender and age groups; in the sense of Hypocrisy in terms of professions; in the Mystic values in terms of marital status and total working times. No differences were found in the Centralization values of the graduates in terms of demographic characteristics. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
