Selçuk Altun is one of the contemporary writers who started to make a name in Turkish literature in the early 2000s. Born in 1950, Altun is a man of a unique attitude with a wide range of interests ranging from painting to music, from sculpture to literature, from collections to psychology. It is possible to see his original face in his writing, inparticular his novelism in which he meticulously trembles. The artist, who has produced twelve works until today, has given the main weight to the novel type. Seven out of twelve works are novels. In Turkish novel, it has an attitude from modern to post-modern, mostly adorned with experiemental efforts and understanding. Innovation seen by structure and works self-empowerment in narrative, brought a rich content in terms of subject and theme and led to the reading of his Works with interest. Individuality, art, sexuality, rights and justice, mystery and quest, existence that constitute the richness of this theme are the subjects that Selçuk Altun attaches importance to in his works.
