Özet
Lojistik Yunanca ‘Logistikos’ kelimesinden gelmiştir ve ‘hesap kitap yapma bilimi’, ‘hesapta becerikli’ anlamına gelmektedir. Literatürde farklı yazarlar tarafından çeşitli tanımlamalarla anlamlandırılmaya çalışılmıştır. Lojistik ile yapılan tanımların tümü, ürün ve malzemelerin çıkış noktasından tüketim merkezine doğru akışının yönetimi ile ilgilidir. Lojistik alanındaki ilk metinler, Peter Drucker gibi düşünürler tarafından yazılmıştır. Taşımacılık, insanlığı modern ve gelişmiş dünya ekonomisine taşıyan en önemli araçlardan biridir. Taşımacılık yük taşımacılığı ve yolcu taşımacılığı olarak ikiye ayrılır. Yük taşımacılığı ise kara yolu taşımacılığı, deniz yolu taşımacılığı, demir yolu taşımacılığı, hava yolu taşımacılığı ve boru hattı taşımacılığı alt dallarında incelenir. Kombine taşımacılık, malların bir taşıma ünitesiyle, en uygun taşıma sistemlerini kullanılarak, kapıdan kapıya taşınmasıdır diye tarif edilebilir. Farklı taşıma üniteleri veya aracılıyla, birden fazla taşıma türü kullanılarak yapılan taşıma türüdür kombine taşımacılık. Kombine taşımacılık; Konteyner Taşımacılık, Sırtta Taşımacılık, Model Taşımacılık şeklinde faaliyet gösterir. Bu çalışmada Lojistik faaliyetlerde taşımacılık yöntemleri incelenmiş olup Hamzabeyli Gümrük Müdürlüğü ve Kapıkule Gar Gümrük Müdürlüğüne ait gümrüklü saha ve bağlı antrepolardaki taşımacılık faaliyetlerinden yola çıkılarak lojistik faaliyetler ve taşımacılık yöntemleri açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır.
