| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışma ile Trakya Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nde eğitim gören son sınıf öğrencilerinin kaygı düzeylerini ve bunu etkileyen faktörleri, kariyer tercihlerine etki eden faktörleri, kaygı durumlarının kariyer tercihlerine olan etkisini araştırmak ve öngörülen problemlere çözümler sunmak amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın evrenini 2020-2021 eğitim öğretim yılında Trakya Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nde öğrenim görmekte olan 249 son sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Evrenin tamamına ulaşılması hedeflenip %92,7’sine ulaşılmıştır. Veriler 69 soruluk bir anket yardımıyla toplanmıştır. Çalışmanın 49 sorusu sosyodemografik özellikleri ve kaygı düzeyleri ile mezuniyet sonrası kariyer tercihlerine etki edecek faktörleri içermektedir. Sürekli Kaygı Ölçeği ise kalan 20 soruyu oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmamıza dahil edilen öğrencilerin 97’si (%41,99) erkek, 134’ü (%58,01) kadındı. Öğrencilerin 126’sı (%54,55) harcamaları karşılamada zorluk yaşadığını, 105’i (%45,45) ise zorluk yaşamadığını belirtti. Öğrencilerin 49’unun (%21,21) sigara kullandığı, 84’ünün (%36,36) alkol kullandığı, 35’inin (%15,15) kronik hastalığı olduğu görüldü. Aile evinde yaşayanların, ailelerinden aldıkları yardımlar dışında gelir elde etmek için yarı zamanlı çalışan öğrencilerin, ve harcamalarını karşılamada zorlanan öğrencilerin anksiyete seviyesi diğerlerinden daha yüksek olarak saptandı. Katılımcılardan anamnez alma, fizik muayene, laboratuvar tetkiklerini yorumlama ve reçete yazma konusunda kendisini yeterli donanımda görmeyenlerin anksiyete düzeyleri kendini yeterli görenlere göre anlamlı olarak yüksek tespit edildi. Katılımcıların yapacakları uzmanlık tercihlerini en fazla mesleki tatmin, maddi getiri ve nöbet sayısının etkilediği görüldü. Katılımcıların anksiyete düzeyleri ile yurtdışında çalışma isteği, akademisyen olma isteği, uzman olma isteği, mezuniyet sonrası çalışılmak istenen kurum ve tercih edilen uzmanlık branşı arasında anlamlı ilişki saptanmadı. Çalışmamızda elde edilen sonuçlar değerlendirildiğinde anksiyetenin maddi zorluk, fiziksel aktivite, kronik hastalık, tıp fakültesinde kazanılması gereken becerilerin kazanılamaması gibi faktörlerden etkilendiği görülmüştür. Tıp fakültesi son sınıf öğrencileri için etkin mesleki eğitim, maddi destek, sağlık hizmeti gibi konularda çalışmalar yapılması faydalı olacaktır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study is to investigate the anxiety levels of intern doctors studying at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine and the factors affecting it, the factors affecting their career choices, the effect of their anxiety on career choices and to offer solutions to the foreseen problems. The target popuation of the study consists of 249 intern doctors studying at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine in the 2020-2021 academic year. It was aimed to reach the entire population and 92,71% was reached. The data was collected through a survey of 69 questions. The 49 questions of the study include sociodemographic characteristics, anxiety levels and factors which affect the career choices after graduation. The Trait Anxiety Scale consists of the remaining 20 questions. The universe of the study consists included in our study, 97 (41.99%) were male and 134 (58.01%) were female. Of the students, 126 (54.55%) stated that they had difficulty in meeting their expenses, while 105 (45.45%) stated that they did not have any difficulties. It was found that 49 (21.21%) of the students smoked, 84 (36.36%) used alcohol, and 35 (15.15%) had chronic diseases. The anxiety levels of those living in the family homestudents who work part time to earn income despite their family's financial aid and students who have difficulty in meeting their expenses were found to be higher than the others. Anxiety levels of the participants who did not consider themselves competent in taking the history of a patient, physical examination, interpreting laboratory tests and writing prescriptions were found to be significantly higher than those who considered themselves competent. It was observed that the occupational satisfaction, financial gain and number of shifts affected the specialization preferences of the participants the most. There was no significant relationship between the anxiety levels of the participants and their desire to work abroad, their desire to be an academician, their desire to be a specialist, the institution they want to work at after graduation, and the preferred branch of specialization. When the results obtained from our study are evaluated, it was seen that anxiety was affected by factors such as financial difficulties, physical activity, chronic illness, and inability to acquire the skills that should be acquired in medical school. It would be beneficial to conduct studies on topics such as effective vocational education, financial support, and health care for intern doctors. | en_US |
