The answer to the question has been sought. The research is limited to the 3rd and 4th grade students (n=80) of Trakya University Department of German Language Teaching in the year 2021/2022. In order to obtain the attitudes and opinions of the students about the educational videos, a likert model questionnaire consisting of 32 questions was prepared. After the pretest-posttest application of the questionnaire in the likert model, qualitative and quantitative data were collected from the participants on the disadvantages and advantages of each of the educational videos. In the research, it was concluded that the educational videos contribute to the German reading skill in the distance education process in many ways. Some of these are the development of German reading sub-skills, the practice of using the theoretical knowledge of reading skills during the act of reading, the opportunity for autonomous learning in the distance education process, and the contribution to the development of other language skills. The findings revealed that the prepared educational videos are effective in the development of German reading skills in the distance education process and provide both motivation and a fun learning environment to the students in the distance education process.
