dc.description.abstractEdirne ilkçağlardan Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'na ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nde her dönem önemli bir şehir olma özelliği taşımış ve halen taşımaktadır. Edirne geçen bu süreçlerde yaşanan kültürlerden etkilenmiştir. Edirne birçok medeniyete ev sahipliği yapmış ve bunların sonucunda da zengin bir tarihe ve kültüre sahip olmuştur. Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'na 92 yıl başkentlik yapmış Kurtuluş Savaşı'nda 25 Kasım 1922 yılında Yunanlıların işgalinden kurtulmuştur ve o zamandan günümüze Türkiye'nin kuzey batısındaki serhat şehridir. Bu şehrin geçmişten günümüze yaşamış olduğu nüfus hareketleri, göç, ekonomi ve istihdam göstergelerindeki değişimleri incelenmiştir. Yapılan anket çalışmasında da sosyal yapının en önemli unsuru olan toplumun günümüz Edirne boyutu ve yaşayışları, Edirne'ye yönelik bilinçleri ve Edirne profilleri çizilmektedir. dc.description.abstractEdirne has been and is still an important city in every period of the history, from the ancient times to the periods of Ottoman Empire and the Republic of Turkey. Edirne has been effected from the cultures lived in these processes. Edirne has hosted many civilizations throughout the history and has had a substantial history and culture. It had been the capital of the Ottoman Empire for 92 years and was rescued from the Greek invasion on 25th November 1922 during the Independence War and since then it has been the border city in the North West of Turkey. The changes on the indications of population movements, immigration, economy and employment of this city throughout the history have been examined. In the survey study, the current Edirne extent and livings of the society, which is the most essential element of the social structure, the consciousness of Edirne and profiles of Edirne have been specified.
