Natural convection of water-based cuo nanofluid between concentric cylinders

Özet

Natural convection heat transfer of water-based CuO nanofluid between vertical concentric cylinders is investigated numerically in this study. The governing equations obtained with the Boussinesq approximation are solved using Comsol Multiphysics finite element analysis and simulation software. Computational results are obtained for nanoparticle solid volume fraction in the range of 0%-8% and for Rayleigh number in the range of 10 5-10 7. The results show that heat transfer rate increases considerably when nanoparticles are used in the cylindrical enclosure. The results also show that heat transfer rate increases substantially with an increase in the Rayleigh number.
