Abstract
Bu araştırmada, 20. yüzyıl Amerikalı New York Okulu bestecisi Morton Feldman’ın erken dönem piyano müziğinin yanı sıra erken dönemine yön veren diğer konular da araştırılmış, Feldman’ın erken dönemine ait öne çıkan piyano eserleri için de analizler yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonunda Feldman’ın diğer sanat ve zanaat dallarından nasıl etkilendiği, bu etkilerinin sonucu olarak ne gibi eserler bestelediğine dair bilgiler verilmiş, bu etkiler sonucu var olan eserlerden öne çıkanlar ise detaylıca incelenmiştir. Feldman’ın erken dönem eserlerinden öne çıkanları ve diğer sanat ve zanaat dallarının etkileri sonucu var olan bu eserleri icra etmek, incelemek veya eğitim amaçlı kullanmak isteyenler için bu araştırma, yeterli bilgiyi sunacaktır. Feldman resim, şiir ve dokumacılık gibi sanat ve zanaat dallarından etkilenip 20. yüzyıl ve devamı için çok önemli kabul edilebilecek eserler bestelemiştir. Özellikle geç döneminde Türkiye’de yapmış olduğu gezilerde aldığı halıların Feldman’ın müzikal görüşünde ve notasyon tekniklerinde yapmış olduğu yenilikler yadsınamaz. Feldman, müzik literatürüne pek çok yeni fikir ve yeni notasyon tekniği kazandırmıştır. Bu kazandırmış olduğu yeniliklerin kaynaklarının resim, şiir, dokumacılık ile olan bağıntısının gün yüzüne çıkartılması ve Feldman’ın müziğe getirdiği yeniliklerin irdelenmesiyle bu araştırmanın pek çok müzisyene yol gösterici olması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, Feldman’ın adı geçen eserlerinin daha kolay anlaşılmasını, eserlerinin daha geniş müzisyen kitlelerce icra edilmesinin teşvikini sağlayacak, Feldman’ın müziğindeki sanat ve zanaat dallarının izleri müzisyenlere örnek olacaktır.
In this research, besides the early piano music of the 20th century American New York School composer Morton Feldman, other issues that shape the music of his early period were also investigated and analyzes were made for the prominent piano works of Feldman's early period. At the end of the research, information was given about how Feldman was influenced by other arts and crafts, what kind of works he composed as a result of these influences, and the prominent works as a result of these influences were examined in detail. This research will provide sufficient information for those who want to perform, examine or use these works, which are the highlights of Feldman's early works and the effects of other arts and crafts, for educational purposes. Feldman was influenced by art and craft such as painting, poetry and weaving and composed works that could be considered very important for the 20th century and beyond. It is undeniable that the carpets he bought during his travels in Turkey especially in his late period, made innovations in Feldman's musical vision and notation techniques. Feldman introduced many new ideas and new notation techniques to the music literature. This research will guide many musicians by revealing the relationship of the sources of these innovations with painting, poetry and weaving and examining the innovations that Feldman brought to music. The research will provide an easier understanding of Feldman's works, encourage the performance of his works by wider musicians, and the traces of arts and crafts in Feldman's music will set an example for musicians.
