Özet
Piyano pedalları, tarihsel süreç içerisinde çeşitli aşamalardan geçerek sağ, sol ve orta pedal olmak üzere piyanodaki yerini almış, yine bu süreç içerisinde çeşitli pedal işaretleme yöntemleri ortaya çıkmıştır. Piyano pedallarının kullanımı piyano eserlerinin icrasının niteliği üzerinde rol oynayan en önemli faktörlerden biri olarak çeşitli işlevler görmektedir. Pedal kullanımı bu işlevler açısından armonik pedal, ritmik pedal, birleştirici pedal veya legato pedalı, ayırıcı pedal, parmak pedal, zorunlu veya romantik pedal ve renk pedalı olarak gruplanabilir. Sağ pedalın kullanıldığı pedal kullanma yöntemleri; pedala basılma zamanı, pedal derinliği, pedal kullanma süresi, pedalın bırakılma zamanı ve kullanılan ses alanları açısından farklılıklar göstermektedir.Pedal kullanımı eserin bestecisine ve ait olduğu döneme göre değişik özellikler sergileyebilmekte, pedal kullanma tekniği ve eserin niteliğine uygun bir pedal kullanımı icra üzerinde belirleyici etkileri olan bir unsur olmaktadır. Müzik tarihindeki önemli piyanist ve bestecilerin pedala ilişkin açıklamaları da pedalın önemini ortaya koymaktadır. Pedal kullanma becerisi piyanistlerin ustalık düzeyini belirleyen önemli faktörler arasında yer almakta, icranın gerçekleştiği ortamın boyutları ve özellikleri de pedal kullanımını etkilemektedir.
Abstract
Piano pedals have taken their places on pianos as right, left and middle pedal, having gone through a number of stages and in this period, various pedal marking methods have emerged. The use of piano pedals have numerous function as one of the most important factors which play role in the quality of the performing of pieces composed for piano. In terms of these functions, pedalling can be grouped as harmonic pedal, rhythmic pedal, connective pedal or legato pedal, separator pedal, finger pedal, compulsory or romantic pedal and colour pedal. Pedalling methods in which right pedal is used show difference in terms of pedalling time, pedal depth, duration of pedalling, pedal leaving time and registers. Pedalling can have different features depending on the composer of the piece and periods it belongs to. Moreover pedalling technique and the use of pedalling suitable to the quality of the piece are determining factors in the performance. The words of notable pianists and composers in the history of music reveal the importance of pedals. Pedalling skill is among the important factors determining the mastery level of pianists also the size and features of the environment where performance takes place effects pedalling
