Özet
Bu çalışmada Türk sosyal medyasında grafik tasarımının rolü incelenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda çalışmada grafik tasarımı ve sosyal medya kavramı tanımlanmış, kapsamları hakkında literatür ışığında bilgiler verilmiştir. Türkiye’de en fazla kullanılan sosyal medya platformları ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada sosyal medyadaki tasarım unsurları incelenerek, tasarımda hedef kitle, tasarımda kullanılan renk, tipografi, fotoğraf, hareketli görüntü değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda sosyal medya ile grafik tasarımın birbirinden ayrılmayacak kadar bağlantılı olduğu görülmüştür. Grafik tasarımı olmadan sosyal medya ortamlarında tasarım yapılabilmesinin mümkün olmadığı söylenebilir. Bununla birlikte sosyal medya ortamlarının etkisiyle grafik tasarımın kapsamının genişlediği ve yeniden şekillendiğini söylemek mümkündür. Grafik tasarımın sosyal medyada etkili olmasının temelinde ilgi uyandırma, sadelik, renk ve yazı seçimi, hedef kitleye uygun tasarımın ortaya konmasının rol oynadığı görülmüştür. Çalışmadan sosyal medya tasarımlarının meta analizi yapılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda, Türk sosyal medyasında tanıtımı yapılan reklam ürünlerin dijital ortamdaki tasarım anlayışı, hedef kitlesi, tipografi, renk, fotoğraf ve hareketli görüntü açısından incelenmiş ve grafik tasarım prensiplerine bağlı kalındığı görülmüştür. Fakat tasarımların moderniteden kopmadığı saptanmıştır. Sosyal medyada ortama uygun tasarımların oluşturulmasının önemli olduğu ve tasarımcıların güncel bilgilerle donatılmış olmanın bilincinde olmaları gerektiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
In this study, the role of graphic design in Turkish social media has been examined. In this direction, the concept of graphic design and social media has been defined in the study, and information has been given about their scope in the light of the literature. The most used social media platforms in Turkey are discussed. In the study, the design elements in social media were examined, the target audience in the design, the color used in the design, typography, photography, moving image were evaluated. As a result of the study, it has been seen that social media and graphic design are inseparably linked. It can be said that it is not possible to design in social media environments without graphic design. However, it is possible to say that the scope of graphic design has expanded and reshaped with the effect of social media environments. It has been seen that arousing interest, simplicity, choice of color and text, and the presentation of a design suitable for the target audience play a role in the effectiveness of graphic design in social media. A meta-analysis of social media designs was made from the study. As a result of the analysis, the advertising products promoted in the Turkish social media were examined in terms of the design concept, target audience, typography, color, photography and moving image in the digital environment and it was observed that the graphic design principles were adhered to. However, it was determined that the designs did not break with modernity. It has been concluded that it is important to create designs suitable for the environment in social media and that designers should be aware of being equipped with up-to-date information.
