Özet
Bu makale, 16. yüzyıl Osmanlı tarihinin en tanınmış bürokratlarından Nişancı Feridun Ahmed Paşa’nın (öl: 1583) vakıflarını konu edinmektedir. Feridun Ahmed Paşa’nın vakıfları ile ilgili bilgi veren yegâne birincil kaynak, onun tespit edebildiğimiz tek vakfiyesidir. Makalede, bu vakfiyedeki detaylardan hareketle Feridun Ahmed Paşa’nın vakfettiği mal ve mülklerin türleri, Osmanlı coğrafyasındaki dağılımları ve sayılarının birer dökümü verilmiştir. Vakfın nasıl yönetileceği ve yöneticilerinin kim olacağı, vakfın personeli ve bu personelin hangi hizmetleri göreceği, hizmetler karşılığında ne kadar ücret alacakları gibi hususlar makalede ayrıca zikredilen diğer önemli başlıkları teşkil etmektedir. Bu araştırma, 16. yüzyıl Osmanlı yönetici elitinin bir üyesinin elindeki malî imkanları ne şekilde tasarruf ettiğini ve bu imkanları ne tür faaliyetlerle kamuya mal ettiğini kısaca değerlendirmeyi amaçlamaktadır.
This article deals with the pious foundations of Nişancı Feridun Ahmed Pasha (d. 1583), one of the most renowned bureaucrats of 16th-century Ottoman history. The only primary source which provides information on Feridun Ahmed Pasha’s pious foundations is a unique endowment deed (vakfiye) that we could identify as his. Based on the details of this deed, the types and quantities of the properties and goods bequeathed by Feridun Ahmed Pasha to his pious foundations, and their locations throughout the Ottoman lands are likewise listed in the following pages. In addition, the staff of his foundation, their duties and salaries are among the important topics mentioned in this article. Overall, this brief study aims to examine the questions of how a member of the 16th-century Ottoman ruling elite used the financial opportunities at his disposal and through which activities he made them public.
