Bioclimatic comfort can be defined as the limit values at which a person feels most healthy and dynamic by consuming the least energy. Changes in the climate of cities, when not within the optimum value range, have a negative impact on human health, restrict people psychologically and physically. In the study, the average temperature (°C), relative humidity (%) and wind (m/s) value obtained from the meteorology stations of Edirne province was transferred to the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) using ArcGIS 10.5 software, then modelled with the Inverse Distance Weight method, which is one of the interpolation methods, and the climate (average temperature, relative humidity and wind) maps were created. Then overlay analysis has been put forward in terms of comfort and bioclimatic areas. As a result, through the maps produced within the scope of the study, suitable areas for recreational activities where optimum bioclimatic comfort values are provided in the city were determined. © 2023, Scibulcom Ltd..
