Özet
Turkey has enormous solar and wind energy potential, but has not utilised them sufficiently so far. Both reducing the prices of the renewable energy devices to a reasonable level with the help of technological development fulfilled in the renewable energy sector and also provision of government promotion, can help to increase the renewable energy utilisation. However, renewable energy sources can be accepted and used by people only if both everybody knows them and also their utilisation fields and environmental advantages are known very well. In this study, it is aimed to measure students (Architecture Faculty and Technical Education Faculty (TEF)) awareness level for renewable energy. For this, a survey which includes some questions about general information and usage forms of renewable energy in buildings was prepared. Then, results were evaluated by transferring the survey data to Microsoft Excel software. As a result of the study, it is determined that the students studying in the faculty have a certain awareness about renewable energy, and that the architecture students among the faculties seem well aware of transferring the renewable energy technologies to building design and applications than the TEF students.
