Özet
Preservation and survival of historical buildings is possible with a fast and whole inventory study, planning and bringing today's user needs to these places. The functions that will be loaded into the structures with the re-functioning and respond to today's requirements will make them a living entity. For transformation of historical buildings that have lost their physical and functional features into healthy and habitable areas, solutions should be introduced. "Kutahya-Ahierbasan Street," which has been chosen as a sampling area, is a region that needs to be preserved and kept alive with its location in the historical city center, its proximity to the commercial areas, and its traditional texture that faces deterioration. In this study, determination and analyses were carried out for "Ahierbasan Street." As a result of this work, it is aimed to develop suggestions for the reuse of Ahierbasan Street. © Peter Lang AG 2020.
