Özet
Dünyanın çevreci teknolojilere, politikalara ve yatırımlara yönelmesiyle ortaya çıkan Yeşil Ekonomi yaklaşımı geleceğin ekonomi modeli olarak düşünülmektedir. Günümüzün en büyük küresel sorunlarından biri olan küresel iklim değişikliğinin ulusal ve yerel ekonomilere yansımaları önemlidir. Küresel iklim değişikliği; deniz seviyesinin yükselmesi, şiddetli rüzgâr, yükselen sıcaklıklar, değişen yağış düzenleri, sıradışı hava olayları ve çevresel değişiklikler gibi çeşitli etkileri bulunan en ciddi küresel sorunlardandır. Bu nedenle küresel iklim değişikliği, çevre ile olan yakın bağlantıları ve iklim-bağımlı özelliğinden dolayı turizm sektörünün önündeki en büyük engellerden biri haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada küresel iklim değişikliğinin en hızlı büyüyen sektörlerden biri olan turizm sektörüne etkileri incelenmiştir. Turizm sektörü, iklim değişikliğinin etkilerine duyarlı olmakla birlikte çevresel etkileşimler yaratarak gerek etkilenen gerekse etkileyen sektör konumundadır. Bu noktada turizm sektörünü sürdürülebilir bir şekilde geliştirmek için yeşil ekonomi kavramı devreye girmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, yeşil ekonomi anlayışı ile birlikte küresel iklim değişikliğini tüm boyutları ile inceleyerek turizm sektörüne olan etkilerini ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmada dinamik panel veri tahmin yöntemlerinden Sistem Genelleştirilmiş Momentler Metodu (GMM) ile turizmin GSYH içindeki payının, turist sayısı, CO2 emisyonu, orman alanı, İnsani Gelişme Endeksi, yenilenebilir enerji düzeyi ve sıcaklık gibi çeşitli değişkenlerle ilişkileri incelenmiştir. Araştırma bulguları, turizmin GSYH içindeki payının; turist sayısı, İnsani Gelişme Endeksi, orman alanları ve yenilenebilir enerji kullanımı ile pozitif bir ilişki, buna karşılık CO2 emisyonu ve sıcaklık seviyesi ile negatif ve istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişkiye sahip olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Elde edilen sonuçlar analize dâhil olan ülkelerde turizm sektörünün yeşillendirilmesi ile birlikte ekonomik büyüme ve sürdürülebilir kalkınmaya katkı sağlayacağını belirtmektedir. Çalışmada; ekonomik büyüme ve kalkınma hedefi için turizm sektörünün güçlendirilmesi ve turizm odaklı optimal yatırımların çevreye duyarlı olarak geliştirilmesi araştırma önerisi olarak sunulmuştur.
The green economy approach emerging with the world's turning towards green technologies, policies and investments is expected to be the future economic model. The impact of global climate change on national and local economies is one of the today's biggest global problems. Global climate change is one of the most serious global problems having a variety of impacts, including sea level rise, severe wind, rising temperatures, changing rainfall patterns, extreme weather events and environmental changes. Therefore, global climate change has become one of the biggest obstacles in the tourism sector due to its close links with the environment and its climate-dependent nature. In this study, the effects of global climate change on the tourism sector, which is one of the fastest growing sectors, were examined. Although the tourism sector is sensitive to the effects of climate change, it is the sector that is affected and affected by creating environmental interactions with its production structure. At this point, the concept of green economy comes into play in order to develop the tourism sector in a sustainable way. The aim of the study is to examine the global climate change with the understanding of green economy in all dimensions and to reveal the possible impacts of the tourism sector. The study examined the relations of tourism with the dynamic panel data estimation methods were conducted with the Generalized Moments Method (GMM) using various variables such as the share of tourism in GDP, number of tourists, CO2 emissions, forest area, Human Development Index, renewable energy level and temperature. As a result of the analysis, the share of tourism in GDP was positively correlated with the number of tourists, Human Development Index, forest areas and renewable energy use and has a negative relationship with CO2 emission and temperature. The results indicate that with the greening of the tourism sector in the countries included in the analysis, will contribute to economic growth and sustainable development. In this study, for the purpose of economic growth and devolopment, strengthening the tourism sector and the development of optimal investments focused on tourism is presented as a research proposal.
