Öğe A DISTRIBUTIONAL INVESTIGATION OF POINT SOURCES IN CLASSICAL ELECTROMAGNETISM(Editura Acad Romane, 2012) Polat, BurakWe provide a tutorial introduction to the distributional investigation of electromagnetic field behavior in free space using three generalized vector operators in presence of electrical and magnetic point sources in a systematic manner in increasing order of singularity.Öğe An Implementation of King's Green Functions in Thin Wire Scattering Problems(Applied Computational Electromagnetics Soc, 2011) Zor, Omer; Polat, BurakWe investigate electromagnetic scattering from metallic thin wire structures located over planar and spherical lossy dielectric half-spaces by applying Green's function formulation and method of moments in the resonance region and under high contrast approximation (HCA). For this purpose, in the calculations of the impedance matrix and the potential column of the moment system, we employ the Green functions of King valid for arbitrary range under HCA and the asymptotic (far field) Green functions for planar and spherical impedance surfaces delivered by Norton and Wait, respectively. For a verification of the developed codes, the current distributions obtained under plane wave illumination on the arms of a cross shaped thin wire structure are compared to the same results obtained by the commercial software SNECTM. Various illustrations for the scattered electrical field from a thin wire plate located over planar and spherical half-spaces are also presented.Öğe Recent Advances in Analytical Methods in Mathematical Physics(Hindawi Ltd, 2012) Ozer, Teoman; Taranov, Vladimir B.; Smirnov, Roman G.; Klemas, Thomas; Thamburaja, Prakash; Wijesinghe, Sanith; Polat, Burak[Abstract Not Available]Öğe Space-Curve Types of Distributions and Sources(IEEE-Inst Electrical Electronics Engineers Inc, 2012) Polat, BurakSpace-curve types of distributions and electromagnetic sources are introduced in a Schwartz-Sobolev space setting, in a tutorial style. The features of the investigation are the derivation and employment of i) three line vector operators acting on a regular singular function; ii) distributional derivatives of first-order space-curve types of singularities; and iii) the distributional investigation of the electromagnetic field's behavior in the presence of first- and second-order (free and polarized) arbitrary and impulse-radiating space-curve types of sources.
