Öğe Faunistic and taxonomic studies on the Geometridae species of Turkish Thrace(1999) Okyar Z.; Aktaç N.The present study was undertaken to determine the fauna of Geometridae in Turkish Thrace. Samples were collected from 81 different localities between 19911993. Results show that Geometridae is represented with a total of 115 species belonging to 67 genus of 5 subfamilies as follows : Archiearinae; 1 genus and 1 species, Geometrinae; 4 genus and 4 species, Scopulinae; 7 genus and 41 species, Larentinae; 22 genus and 31 species, Ennominae; 33 genus and 38 species. On the one hand, of these, 49 species are new records for Turkish Thrace, on the other, within these species, 17 are new records for Turkey. Consequently, total number of species of Geometridae in Turkey and Turkish Thrace has reached to 517 and 171 respectively.Öğe Identification of butterfly (Lepidoptera; Rhopalocera) fauna of Gökçeada and Bozcaada, Turkey(2006) Okyar Z.; Aktaç N.This study was carried out to determine the butterflies of Gökçeada and Bozcaada in Turkey. As a result, a total of 61 Lepidoptera species in the two islands was recorded. Of these, species 45 were found in Gökçeada and 16 species were found in Bozcaada. Additionally, it was appeared that 13 species for Gökçeada and all of the 16 species for Bozcaada were the first records. © 2006 Asian Network for Scientific Information.Öğe On the noctuid fauna (lepidoptera: noctuidae) of ecological cherry orchards in western turkey(2001) Okyar Z.; Tezcan S.76 noctuid species were collected by bait traps in ecologically cultivated cherry orchards in western Turkey. Among these, Acanthoplusia agnata (Staudinger, 1892), Agrochola lota (Clerck, 1759), Allophyes cretica Pinker & Reisser, 1978, Euxoa cursoria (Hufnagel, 1766), Paradrina suscianja von Mentzer, 1981 and Polymixis flavicincta ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775) are new records for the Turkish fauna. None of the species recorded is known as a pest of cherry trees. © 2001 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
