    E-portfolio in Lifelong Learning Applications

    In today's world, with the expansion of technology, new pursuits and in parallel with that, new concepts such as life long learning and e-portfolio emerge. Ever-growing technology removes the borders of learning and results in continuous learning need. That's why learning is defined as from cradle to grave. It is inevitable to have self-reformation, discover the facilities of technology and use them in both private and work life. People record their detailed curriculum vitae, personal development and new acquisitions under the name of portfolio, personal output folder or personal development folder. These folders are recorded in digital setting and even made available by means of online access; which is called e-portfolio. Thinking lifelong learning concept in parallel with e-portfolio it can be said that, e-portfolios will be much more crucial in near future. In this study, development of these two concepts, their collocations and usage styles in near future are examined. (C) 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd.

    The Place and Importance of Computer and Internet's In Secondary School Students' Life

    Today, computers and the Internet, has become an important element in the life of the individual of all ages. Especially the young generation carries out a lot of work with the help of a computer. Computer and Internet has become an indispensable passion for them. Young generation use the computer and the internet more successful and faster than previous generations. One of the main reason, they have born in a huge world that information technology center equipped with. Although they use extensively, young people must be aware and to orientate about the use of computers and Internet. Effective, relevant and accurate computer and internet use, but it may happen by this way. Various studies are available for this purpose in literacy. In this study, it has performed a research on computer and Internet use behaviors of Tekirdag Technical and Vocational High School, IT and Electric-Electronic Technology Field 10th grade students. It has tried to determine computer and Internet connection, which the students put in their lifes and what are the factors that affect it. For this purpose a survey consists of questions used to determine, students' demographic information, the aims and habits of computer and internet use. According to the responses, the role of computer and the Internet, in the life of the vocational school students, were examined and compared in terms of different variables.
