    On skew cyclic codes over a mixed alphabet and their applications to DNA codes

    In this paper, we introduce skew cyclic codes over the mixed alphabet F4R, where F-4 is the finite field with 4 elements and R = F-4 + uF(4) + vF(4), u(2) = u , v(2) = v , uv = vu = 0. Our results include a description of the generator polynomials of such codes and a necessary and sufficient condition for an F4R-skew cyclic code to be reversible complement.

    On some constacyclic codes over , their images, and new codes

    In this paper, we study -constacyclic codes over the ring where , for and . Two new Gray maps from R to are defined with the goal of obtaining new linear codes over . The Gray images of -constacyclic codes over R are determined. We then conducted a computer search and obtained many -constacyclic codes over R whose -images have better parameters than currently best-known linear codes over Z(4).

    We introduce skew constacyclic codes over the local Frobenius non-chain rings of order 16 by defining non-trivial automorphisms on these rings. We study the Gray images of these codes, obtaining a number of binary and quaternary codes with good parameters as images of skew cyclic codes over some of these rings.

    Some Constacyclic Codes over Z4[u]/?u2?, New Gray Maps, and New Quaternary Codes

    this paper, we study lambda-constacyclic codes over the ring R = Z(4) + uZ(4), where u(2) = 0, for lambda = 1 + 3u and 3 + u. We introduce two new Gray maps from R to Z(4)(4) and show that the Gray images of lambda-constacyclic codes over R are quasi-cyclic over Z(4). Moreover, we present many examples of lambda-constacyclic codes over R whose Z(4)-images have better parameters than the currently best-known linear codes over Z(4).
